Nižbor (German: Nischburg) is a municipality and village in Beroun District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,100 inhabitants.
Until 1918, Nižbor, then known as Nischburg, was part of the Austrian Empire (after the compromise of 1867, in Cisleithania), located in the Rakonitz (present-day Rakovník) district, one of the 94 Bezirkshauptmannschaften in Bohemia.[2] A post-office opened here in 1869.
