Jirny is a village in the Prague-East district, near Exit 8 of the D11 motorway. It is approximately 22 kilometres east of Prague's centre and nine kilometres south of the town of Brands nad Labem-Stará Boleslav. There are around 2,900 people who live here.
The village is divided into two parts, Jirny and Nové Jirny, which are 1.5 kilometres apart.
Jivno is a village and municipality (obec) in České Budějovice District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 6.28 square kilometres (2.42 sq mi), and has a population of 232 (as at 31 December 2007).
Jivno lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) east of České Budějovice and 122 km (76 mi) south of Prague.
