The Zé Castelo dos Montes is located in the Serra da Tapuia , in the municipality of New Site in the state of Rio Grande do Norte . It is considered a postcard of the Municipality for its exuberant beauty, which contrasts with the landscape of the mountains between which it is located. The construction, made of stone and lime, was made by a retired army sergeant , who gives the work its own name. He claims to have received instructions from Our Lady to erect it, having spent more than thirty years in the castle inspired by Moorish architecture.
