He was in a relationship with Lylla, but while they two were escaping from the science lab that made them, Lylla tragically died, leaving her wrist computert as the only reminder of her to Rocket. Aardvark was mutated by Roger Fieldston. Roger had the power to activate latent mutations in anybody he touched. The mutations were often severe and grotesque. Roger had his powers reversed by Captain Universe after he accidentally mutated several people, causing them to riot. Roger went to seek out those he had mutated so he could take their powers away.
