Westland Whirlwind
The Westland Whirlwind was a British twin-engined heavy fighter[citation needed] developed by Westland Aircraft. A contemporary of the Supermarine Spitfire and Hawker Hurricane, it was the first single-seat, twin-engined, cannon-armed fighter of the Royal Air Force.
