José Álvaro Osorio Balvín, better known artistically as J Balvin, is an urban singer who was born in Medellín, Colombia, on May 7, 1985. J Balvin began making music at an early age. He is a globally recognized star for many achievements. He is a winner at the Latin Grammy Awards and chosen as "Artist of the Year" by Premios Lo Nuestro. He also managed to enter the Guinness Book of Record for spending 22 weeks on the "Hot Latin Songs" list for his song "Ginza."
In 2013, with the backing of EMI Music México and Capitol Latin, he released a third album: “La familia”, quickly ranked by Billboard magazine in its Top 10 Latin Albums. In addition, he won five platinum records in his country, one in Peru, another in Romania, two more in Chile and Mexico and one gold in Argentina, Venezuela and Ecuador.
J Balvin tries to manage his private life with absolute discretion. His family is made up of his father, who was his manager; his mother, whom he considers his best friend; his younger sister Carolina, who is five years old, is a dentist, model, and the mother of his niece Samantha.
Throughout her career as a model, Valentina has participated in music videos such as “Messing around” by Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias and “Sigo extrañándote” by J Balvin, a recording during which she met the Colombian in 2017.
The Colombian artist preferred to keep their relationship private, until the 2019 Grammy Awards ceremony where they were openly seen together, always keeping their hands intertwined.
