Albert Watson Newton, AM, MBE (born on 23 July 1938), is an Australian media personality. He is a Logie Hall of Fame inductee, quadruple Gold Logie award-winning entertainer and radio, theatre and television personality/presenter. Newton has hosted the Logie Awards ceremony on seventeen occasions. Newton is known for his collaborations opposite Graham Kennedy and Don Lane on their respective variety shows, and appearance's with wife, singer Patti Newton. Their two children are actor Matthew Newton and TV personality Lauren Newton. Newton started his career in radio broadcasting, primarily as an announcer before becoming a star and fixture of Australian television since its inception in 1956, and is considered both an industry pioneer, icon and one of the longest-serving television performers in the world. Newton is known for his association with both the Nine Network and Ten Network, in numerous shows including: In Melbourne Tonight, New Faces, Good Morning Australia, 20 to 1 and Bert's Family Feud.

Phil Nichol is a Canadian comedian, singer-songwriter and actor. Nichol was born in Scotland to a Scottish mother, but raised in Canada. He first found fame as a member of the musical comedy trio Corky and the Juice Pigs, known for the song "Eskimo". Nichol's 2002 Edinburgh Festival Fringe show Things I Like I Lick was nominated for the Perrier Award. In 2006, Nichol won the if.comedy award (successor to the Perrier) with a show titled The Naked Racist, which he performed at The Stand; he later performed the same show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. In 2007, Nichol was nominated for Best Headliner at the Chortle Awards. On 23 September 2007, he was a last minute replacement to host the second half of the charity show A Seriously Funny Attempt to Get the Serious Fraud Office in the Dock. In 2014, Nichol released his first album of comedic songs since his days in Corky and the Juice Pigs, titled Late Night Electric Watermelon.
