Sandra Bernhard (born June 6, 1955) is an American actress, comedian, singer, and author. She first gained attention in the late 1970s, with her stand-up comedy in which she often bitterly critiqued celebrity culture and political figures. Bernhard is best known as portraying Nancy Barlett Thomas on the ABC sitcom Roseanne from the fourth season (1991) to the end of the show in 1997. She is currently starring as Nurse Judy Kubrak in the FX drama series Pose. Bernhard is number ninety-six on Comedy Central's list of the 100 greatest stand-ups of all time. Bernhard was born in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Jeanette (née LaZebnik) and proctologist Jerome Bernhard. Her parents raised her as a Conservative Jew. She has three brothers: Dan, David and Mark. Bernhard's family moved to Arizona when she was 10. Bernhard attended Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, graduating in 1973.

Matthew Charles Berry (born 2 May 1974) is an English actor, comedian, musician and writer. He has appeared in comedy series such as The IT Crowd, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, The Mighty Boosh, Snuff Box, and also co-created and starred in the Channel 4 sitcom Toast of London, for which he won the 2015 BAFTA Award for Best Male Performance in a Comedy Programme. More recently, he has starred in the FX television series What We Do In the Shadows since 2019. Matthew Charles Berry was born on 2 May 1974, in Bromham Bedfordshire, the son of Pauline (née Acreman) and Charles Berry. He attended Nottingham Trent University, graduating in 1999 with a BA in Contemporary Arts. Berry began his career as a runner before appearing in the video game magazine show Game Over on BSkyB's computer and technology channel .tv, between 1998 and 1999. Though commissioned as an editorial show on the subject matter, episodes contained a large number of comedy sketches with Berry as the main performer.
