Chandra North (born July 31, 1970, in Dallas, Texas, United States) is an American model. Growing up, North had aspirations of becoming a professional ballerina. In her teen years, North was a bit rebellious. While her classmates would be attending school dance, she would be hitting up underground night clubs. While attending Southern Methodist University, she was scouted by a male model during her spring break. Shortly thereafter, she signed with The Kim Dawson Agency in Dallas and she secured modeling jobs for local news papers and department store catalogs. In 1991, North left Texas to pursue her dream of becoming a professional dancer. Shortly after moving to New York City, her modeling career moved her to Paris. After struggling to make it in Europe, North came back to New York where she met her future husband, then a bicycle messenger. With his support, she eventually landed more work. In 1995, North featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition in which she wore a grass bikini. Since then, she has been featured in advertisements for Alberta Ferretti, Versace, Saks Fifth Avenue, Givenchy, J.Crew, Valentino, Chanel, and Banana Republic. North has walked the runways for Christian Dior, DKNY, and Chanel. North has also graced the covers of Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, and Harper's Bazaar.

LANA OGILVIE
Lana Ogilvie is a Canadian fashion model. She was the first model of color to be given a contract with the CoverGirl cosmetics brand, frequently being paired with Rachel Hunter. She appeared in the 1994 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and was a host on Soul Train. Lana was "discovered" at her high school fashion show as a teen in her hometown of Toronto, Canada. She moved to New York to work with the prestigious Ford Models, where she lived at Eileen Ford's house along with other Ford alumni, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell. After working in Paris, Milan and London as a sought after runway model for designers such as Azzedine Alaïa, Gianfranco Ferré, Prada, Missoni, Sonia Rykiel, Karl Lagerfeld, and Issey Miyake, Lana became a regular face in magazines around the world such as Vogue (magazine), Elle (magazine), Cosmopolitan (magazine), Madame, LA Style, Grazia, Amica, Fashion (magazine), Chatelaine (magazine) and Flare (magazine). Ogilvie has been featured in numerous advertising campaigns including DKNY, Express, Ann Taylor, Gap, Banana Republic, Macy's, Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Escada, Birks, Clairol, Nordstrom, Ralph Lauren, and Neiman Marcus. Her classic beauty made her a favorite of photographers like, Albert Watson, Arthur Elgort, Hans Feurer, Gilles Bensimon and Bruce Weber. In 1992, she became the first Black model to sign a multi-year contract with CoverGirl cosmetics company, and she appeared in the 1994 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Moving into television, Lana became an on-air host and segment producer at Fashion Television, a segment contributor for CBC Television, and CityLine, as well as writing for various Canadian fashion magazines. After studying to be a fine jeweler, Lana started Sabre Jewelry.
