Bartholomew Gallows (Earth-616)
Bartholomew Gallows became the vigilante "Americop" after resigning from the Houston Police when he became disillusioned with the judicial system and felt the process was too ineffective. He listened to security scanners around Houston, and then tracked down criminals and wrongdoers.[3] He had an encounter with Captain America, who was appalled and condemned Americop's brutalities, and tried to stop him while they both were trying to capture munitions magnate Damon Dran.[4] The two were knocked out by a gas grenade and imprisoned but later escaped. Americop killed a lot of Dran's men, and thought that Dran died in a helicopter explosion.[5] After the Civil War, Americop was listed as a potential recruit for the Initiative by S.H.I.E.L.D..[6] However, he became a target on the Thunderbolts' "Most Wanted" files. Norman Osborn sent Bullseye and Penance to catch Americop, hoping that the vigilante would killed them both or at least toughen Penance up. During the hunt Penance let out a powerful energy blast (caused by Bullseye) that injured Gallows, who was taken bleeding to Thunderbolts Mountain and was later determined to be paralyzed.

Bartholomew Jones (Earth-616)
Bart Jones is Firestar's father. Bart's mother helped him care for his daughter. After she died and Angelica revealed she was a mutant, he sent her to the Massachusetts Academy where she became the White Queen's student.[citation needed] Eventually, Firestar left the Academy and moved back home. In time she joined the New Warriors. Bart revealed to Angel that he knew she was Firestar and accepted her and her teammate and boyfriend Vance Astrovik's murder trial for killing his own abusive father.[1] Firestar was devastated when Vance was sent to jail. Months later, a street gang with a grudge against the New Warriors attacked and kidnapped several members of the New Warriors family members. Bart Jones was shot, and Firestar rushed him to the hospital.[2] At some point during Bart's recuperation, Angel's boyfriend Vance was paroled and lived with Bart and Angel.[3] Bart had tried to get Vance's mother to forgive Vance for the killing of her husband, but she refused. Vance eventually moved out of Bart's home and moved in with his (platonic) teammate Namorita.[4] When Richard Rider was being chased by Nova Omega, he visited Bart Jones to see if he can find Firestar, but she wasn't there.
