Bartholomew Bark (Earth-8311)
Bark was the owner of new, five-floor arcade mall Video City, built with the help of chief electrical engineer and game designer Dr. Bruce Bunny. Industrialist Randolph Rodent wanted to buy the plot of land to build a factory there, and funded Alice Groundy's P.A.W.S (Protesting Against Whimsey Society) to pressure Bark - Bark knew about that, but it was not enough to arrest Rodent. At the same time, Platypus Amusement Park owner Quincy Quakers had seen his business fane with videogames and sabotaged Video City under the guise of Masked Marauder; in one of those activities, he mutated Dr. Bunny ninto rampaging Hulk-Bunny. Two Daily Beagle staffanimals who happened to be superheroes Captain Americat and Spider-Ham discovered Quakers and arrested him, apparently saving Video City. During that time, Groundy became a video game fan, and Rodent changed his focus to consider buying nearby Platypus Amusement Park terrain.

Bartholomew Carson (Earth-616)
Doctor Carson had invented the Cerebra-Chip capable of repairing damaged connections in the brain with the true intention of helping those who had suffered brain damage, but it was discovered that the chip also had a contraindication and that was able to control people by making them into mindless slaves. Having learned of this, the Crime Master kidnapped Dr. Carson's daughter to force him to use the chip to create a super-squad to work for him, which he reluctantly did. However, Spider-Man came to his rescue who was made aware of what was happening by Dr. Carson, and with the information obtained about how the chip worked, Spider-Man created a device with which to counter the functions of the chip so that he was able to defeat the super-squad and then free Dr. Carson's daughter. Dr. Carson, however, was arrested for complicity with the Crime Master, but thanks to the photos secretly taken by Spider-Man to sell them to the Daily Bugle in his role as Peter Parker, Dr. Carson was exonerated and returned to freedom.
