"Barney (Dinosaur) (Earth-616)" VS "Barney Bailey (Earth-616)"
Barney (Dinosaur) (Earth-616)
Barney was a dinosaur that lived in the Savage Land, when he was captured, along with several over dinosaurs and experimented on by Stox. While other experiments either died or mutated into half dinosaur creatures, Barney did not initially exhibit any gifts and was able to escape, later gaining the ability to speak. Needing help, he fled the Savage Land but was captured in Turkey and had to be rescued by Sharon Carter and returned to the Savage Land. On their return to the Savage Land, Sharon's plane crashed and the pair were captured in the Savage Land by Stox, who was revealed to be Count Nefaria. Viewing Barney as his one successful experiment as a living ion battery, Nefaria attempted to use him to create more in order to obtain an army of living ion batteries but was defeated by Captain America. Barney's subsequent fate is unknown. As a dinosaur, Barney possesses greater strength and durability than the average human. Count Nefaria's experiments gave Barney the ability to speak as well as give off ionic energy. Barney's ability to speak hints that he may have an intelligence that is greater than average for a creature of his species. He was at least smart to know that he needed to flee the Savage Land and seek up.

Barney Bailey (Earth-616)
An unscrupulous businessman, Barney Bailey acquired a pair of dinosaur eggs recovered from a polar region of Siberia, then used unknown scientific means to revitalize and hatch the eggs, bringing forth a living pair of dinosaurs. More interested in the money he could make using them as attractions than their inherent scientific worth, Bailey financed their inclusion in a traveling circus, believing they were safe while inside massive terrariums made of a "transparent metal", Bailey was horrified when they broke loose, frightened by a thunderstorm while the circus was visiting Seacoast City. Inured to the devastation the dinosaurs were causing, Bailey demanded his press agent Matt Carson gather some men to capture the creatures alive, lest he loose his meal ticket. However, the alien Vision had already gotten involved by the time Carson gathered a gang of hoodlums armed with heavy-duty tranquilizer darts, killing one -- a so-called gigantosaurus -- with a bundle of dynamite. The dead creature's carcus also happened to topple over and crush Carson and his men. Seeing his fortune fading away, Bailey had a hysterical fit while atop a building, which attracted the attention of the remaining dinosaur -- a tyrannosaurs -- which devoured him. Minutes later, the Vision used the remaining TNT to kill that monster as well.
