"Barbarus (Earth-7642)" VS "Barbarus (Earth-21993)"
Barbarus (Earth-7642)
Barbarus seemingly had a similar history as his Earth-616 counterpart. He was among those native to the Savage Land assembled by Magneto that he experimented on and gave powers to. The group became known as the Savage Land Mutates. The Savage Land Mutates were taken over by Tyrax, who used them to recreate and prefect Magneto's equipment as well as guard Arcadia. Once the Mutagenic Machine was completed, Tyrax used it on dinosaurs to create Dinosauroids. Barbarus was one of the mutates that confronted and was defeated by Badrock when he arrived in the Savage Land. Badrock and his allies ultimately defeated the Savage Land Mutates and reverted the Dinosauroids. During the battle; however, Tyrax fled. Afterwards, Kar-Zar exiled the Savage Land Mutates. Seemingly those of the Barbarus of Earth-616.

Barbarus (Earth-21993)
The past history of the Barbarus of Earth-21993 mirrors that of his Earth-616 counterpart up until the point where Charles Xavier was going to be used as a weapon by the Skrulls to attack the Shi'ar empire. Xavier would escape this fate and return to Earth where he would be assassinated by Cable, sparking an explosion of attacks instigated by many of the X-Men's enemies. Barbarus and the Savage Land Mutates would take advantage of Xavier's death to attempt to expand their empire beyond the Savage Land, clashing with the military. They would change their focus to attacking the X-Men directly at the ruins of the X-Mansion along with the Fenris and the Hellfire Club, a battle that would force the X-Men to retreat Later, when the US government would launch the Sentinels in response to Magneto, one of their targets would be the Savage Land Mutates. Barbarus would be among those slain.
