Commander C'efn was one of the bloodiest warriors in Shi'ar history and a Commander in the Grand Jahr, a military fleet of ships with the sole purpose of bringing new planets into the Shi'ar Empire.[1]
One of his new recruits was the young Shi'ar Cerise.[1]
The Grand Jahr bombed the alien Knsashii, committing genocide on the peaceful race, with expectations that the remaining survivors would then gladly join the Shi'ar.[1]
When Cerise witnessed this atrocity, she was disgusted that her people would do this, but C'efn defended those actions as working for the best of the Shi'ar. He executed a young survivor to prove his point, warning Cerise "she better be prepared for the next battle". From that moment Cerise vowed to bring down the Grand Jahr, and bring them to justice for their actions.[1]
Cerise's plan was to overide the ship and re-program to to fly into a nearby sun. Cerise recorded a message for the Empire explaining her actions and the crimes of the Grand Jahr, then abandoned ship. Commander C'efn and his crew were all killed as the ship warped into a star.
