Banapur Khan was an Indonesian pirate hired by the Cult of the Black Blade to help them obtain the Muramasa Blade. He captured Kojima Noburo, the secretary of the blade's owner Mariko Yashida, and tried to torture information out of him, to no avail. Yashida sent her beloved, Wolverine, to rescue Noburo, but he arrived too late to save the secretary's life and fought Banapur to avenge him. Banapur was no match for Wolverine and almost escaped, but was killed by a stewardess from Noburo's plane who had stowed away on Banapur's speedboat. None, human.
