Aamir Khan shared a similar history to his Earth-616 counterpart until the early days of the Avengers. After the death of his mother, Muneeba Khan, he and Yusuf visited her grave where they ran into a time travelling Kamala Khan. Aardvark was mutated by Roger Fieldston. Roger had the power to activate latent mutations in anybody he touched. The mutations were often severe and grotesque. Roger had his powers reversed by Captain Universe after he accidentally mutated several people, causing them to riot. Roger went to seek out those he had mutated so he could take their powers away.
